# Direct vs. Open-Ended Prompts

Direct prompts seek specific answers: “What are the top five benefits of meditation?” Open-ended prompts explore broader ideas: “How can meditation impact a person’s overall well-being?” Use direct prompts when concise information is needed and open-ended prompts when exploring a subject in-depth or generating multiple ideas.
